Support Worker

We are currently recruiting Support Workers across Essex to join a range of fantastic care and supported living services, supporting adults with a variety of needs including learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and mental health needs.

The Role

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing high-quality, person-centred support

• Supporting individuals with their daily living activities

• Promoting independence, dignity and choice

• Supporting with personal care where required

• Supporting individuals to access the community and take part in activities

• Assisting with medication and other care needs, where trained

• Supporting individuals with communication and behavioural needs

• Building positive and professional relationships with the people you support

• Completing accurate care records and documentation

• Working alongside families, healthcare professionals and other members of the support team

What We're Looking For

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Previous experience working in healthcare, social care or support work

• A genuine passion for helping others

• Excellent communication skills

• A patient, compassionate and reliable approach

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A commitment to providing person-centred care

• Right to work in the UK

• Relevant care qualifications are desirable but not always essential, depending on the service

Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or challenging behaviour would be highly advantageous.
