​Are you a compassionate and reliable individual with a passion for helping others? We are currently recruiting Ambulance Care Assistants (ACAs) to support non-emergency patient transport services. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by ensuring patients are transported safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

The Role

As an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will:

  • Safely transport patients to and from hospitals, clinics and healthcare appointments.

  • Provide high-quality care and reassurance throughout each journey.

  • Assist patients with mobility and manual handling where required.

  • Complete vehicle and equipment safety checks.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all health and safety procedures.

  • Deliver excellent patient care while remaining calm and professional in challenging situations.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • ✅ A valid First Aid Certificate.

  • ✅ An Enhanced DBS Certificate issued within the last 12 months or registered on the DBS Update Service.

  • ✅ Completed Care Certificate Standards.

  • ✅ Previous experience working in a health or social care setting.

  • ✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • ✅ A caring, compassionate and professional attitude.

  • ✅ The ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and nights if required.

Desirable

  • Previous experience as an Ambulance Care Assistant or within patient transport.

  • Moving & Handling practical training.

  • Full UK driving licence (if applying for a driving position).
